The work explores the burden of wisdom, the moment when understanding becomes inseparable from pain. The eyes symbolize a clarity that reaches beyond what is visible: the knowledge gained through experience, loss, and confronting truths that can no longer be unseen.

The tears become the price of that awareness. They suggest that wisdom is not born from knowing more, but from having felt deeply enough to understand. What has been learned cannot be undone, and what has been seen cannot return to innocence.

The work ultimately asks whether wisdom is a gift or simply the scar left behind when pain has taught us too much.
